15. PZU Cracovia Marathon – important and useful information

Important and useful information for the participants of the 15th PZU Cracovia Marathon and accompanying events during the Krakow Running Meetings.

The 10 km Night Run
13.05.2016 (Friday), 9.00 p.m.

The Night Run will start at 9:00 p.m. at the promenade at 3 Maja Avenue near the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium; this location will also be the finish line.

Route length – 10 km. The route is approved by PZLA, AIMS and IAAF.

Participants are required to finish the route within 1.5 hours, that is until 10:30 p.m.

Each kilometre along the route will be marked from 1 to 10.

Competition Office

The Competition Office will be located in the entrance hall under the eastern stand of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) at Reymonta 20 Street.

Opening days:

12.05.2016 – from 12.00 p.m. till 8.00 p.m.

13.05.2016 – from 12.00 p.m. till 6.00 p.m.

Benefits provided by the Organiser

The cloakroom and the safekeeping point will be located at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium (the western stand).

The storage will be used for depositing competitors' personal belongings packed into bags provided by the organizer upon verification of competitors, with labels attached specifying the number given at the starting point.

The cloakroom and storage will be open on 13.05.2016 from 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.

The bags will be given out of the deposit upon presentation of the start number. In the event the start number is lost by competitor, the organizer is released from the liability for the bag taken out by another person.

Note: It is not allowed to leave valuable items and documents in the storage.

The organizer is not responsible for items of participants left outside the storage.

Competitor package

Within the entry fee, each participant receives a competitor package, comprising:

– start number with safety pins,

– shirt (the Organizer does not guarantee a suitable shirt size),

– bag for belongings to be stored + sticker for the bag,

– information materials,

– option to use showers after the run.

Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon for the RMF FM Radio Cup
14.05.2016 (Saturday), 1.30 p.m.

The run will start from Błonia (near the Papal Stone) at 1.30 p.m.

The finishing line will be located on Błonia (near the Papal Stone).

Distance of the route – 4200 m.

Route: Błonia – Kościuszko Mound – Błonia.

Participants are required to finish the route within 45 minutes that is until 2.15 p.m.

Competition Office

The Competition Office will be located in the entrance hall under the eastern stand of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) at Reymonta 20 Street.
Opening days:

12.05.2016 from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.;

13.05.2016 from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.;

14.05.2016 from 10.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m.

Cracovia Inline Skating Marathon
14.05.2016 (Saturday), 4.00 p.m.

The participants will start at 4.00 p.m. at the promenade at 3 Maja Avenue on Błonia; the location will also serve as the finish line.

The route leads around the Błonia and consists of 12 laps.

Participants are required to finish the route within 3 hours, that is until 7.00 p.m.

The meal and refreshment station will be located at each lap behind the start/finishing line gate.

Note! The Organizer does not accept competitors' private food supplements.

The medical station will be located near the starting point and will be attended by emergency medical personnel.

Competition Office

The Competition Office will be located in the entrance hall under the eastern stand of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) at Reymonta 20 Street.

15th Cracovia Marathon,
15.05.2016 (Sunday), 9.00 a.m.

Competition Office

The Competition Office will be located in the entrance hall under the eastern stand of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) at Reymonta 20 – the entrance from Reymana.

Opening days:

12.05.2016 from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m

13.05.2016 from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

14.05.2016 from 10.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

On the race day (15.05.2016) the Competition Office is closed.

Collection of the Competitor package

In order to collect your competitor package, you must present your identity card or any other document with a photo confirming your identity.

If you have paid the entry fee and no competitor number has been assigned to you, please bring proof of your payment and visit the REGISTERED/UNPAID stand.
If you have registered electronically and have not paid an entry fee, please pay the fee at the cash desk and then visit the REGISTERED/UNPAID stand.
The Organiser allows the competitor package to be collected on behalf of another person upon furnishing a declaration and authorization signed by the competitor to receive the competitor package, containing names, surnames and identity card numbers of the authorising and authorised person and a photocopy of the identity card of the authorising person.

Medical Certificate

During the collection of competitor package, competitors are required to make a declaration that they are aware of the risks that may arise in connection with the race in the 15th PZU Cracovia Marathon, and that they are healthy enough to participate in this race.

In the event of any doubt about one's health and thus the possibility to enter the marathon, the competitor is obliged to seek on his/her own a doctor's opinion before entering the event.

Storage

The cloakroom and clothing storage will be located near the start/finish area.

The cloakroom and storage will be open on 15.05.2016, 7.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Participants are not allowed to leave valuable items and documents in the storage.

The organizer is not responsible for items of participants left outside the storage.

Time measurement

During the 15th PZU Cracovia Marathon, time will be measured using an electronic time measurement system. During verification, each competitor will be given a chip built into the start number. Correctly attaching the chip is a prerequisite to entry the marathon and to be ranked in the final communication of race.

To be able to be classified, competitor is required to run the approved route of the marathon and finish it within 6 h.

Net time ranking

During the 15th PZU Cracovia Marathon, all classifications will be kept according to net times counted from the time of crossing the mat at the start line to the time of crossing the mat at the finish line, excluding the first 50 finishing competitors, whose time will be counted from the moment of firing the starter pistol. Therefore, you will not have to push others or fight for your spot. Just pick a position according to your abilities, and there will be better conditions for sports rivalry on the route.

Starting zones

On the starting line, the participants should take positions in the following order:

1) Participants in wheelchairs – special starting zone for persons with disabilities in wheelchairs

2) Elite runners with starting numbers from 1 to 50.

3) Runners with starting numbers above 50 in starting zones according to the time declared during registration.

Pacemakers

Pacemakers – standing in the relevant start zone and marked with balloons with the indicated lead time will run at a relevant pace for the following times:

3.15; 3.30; 3.45; 4.00; 4.15; 4.30; 4.45; 5.00

Cheering Areas

On the route of the 15. PZU Cracovia Marathon special points of cheering runners will be organised. In more than 30 locations will feature – among others – running clubs, associations, foundations, music groups, DJs and sponsors and partners of the event.

Public Transport

Public transportation will be free for each verified participant of every event taking place as part of the Krakow Running Meetings (from 13.05.2016 to 15.05.2016, based on the starting number).

Car Park

The car park for the participants will be located near the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) at Reymonta 20 – entrance from Reymonta Street, available for competitors who place a parking card (downloaded from www.pzucracoviamaraton.pl and printed out) in their car’s front window.

The car park will be open:

On 12 and 14.05.2016 – along with the Competition Office;

On 13.05.2016 – until 11.00 p.m.;

On 15.05.2016 – from 6.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Accommodation
Every participant can use the free accommodation in the Wisła Hall, which is located near the Competition Office at Reymonta 20. The participants should have their own sleeping pads and sleeping bags. The place of accommodation will contain showers.
Competitors applying for accommodation in the hall will be received there on 14 May, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Participants of the 15th Cracovia Marathon, who will come to the sports hall without prior registration of that need in the night before the competition, will be directed for accommodation according to available vacancies.

Toilets
Toilets will be located in the start zone, on the route (near refreshment stands) and in the finish zone.

Showers
Every participant may use a shower free of charge after finishing the race. The showers will be located at the Szczepański Square.

Massage
Every participant may use a massage service free of charge after finishing the race. The massage booth will be located at the Szczepański Square. Massage oils from the Golden Oils product line provides the Partner of the event – the Bielenda company.

Expo

The 15th PZU Cracovia Marathon Expo will be held in the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium ("Wisła Kraków" Stadium) under the eastern stand.
