15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon – new rules before the planned restart of registration; possibility of refund and tranfer of the entry fee
On 2 February, the new regulations of the 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon, which will take place on April 23, 2022 were published. The document was prepared in connection with the epidemiological situation in the country, causing exceptional circumstances requiring the introduction of specific measures and solutions. There is a limit of 1000 competitors. We hope that this year we will meet at the start of the Mini Cracovia Marathon the day before the 19th Cracovia Marathon, scheduled for 24 April. Therefore, on February 23, registration for the upcoming edition of the event will be resumed.
For the 15th time, the participants of the Mini Cracovia Marathon will commemorate Piotr Gładki – the first (and only one to date) Pole to win the Cracovia Marathon. He managed to accomplish this feat during the 4th edition of the Cracovia Marathon, and just two weeks later he died tragically in a car accident. The route is 4.2 km long. The participants are required to complete the race within 45 minutes. Competitors at least 13 years of age at the latest on the day of the event may participate in the race.
The previous, fourteenth edition of the Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon took place on April 27, 2019. In 2020 and 2021, restrictions and regulations related to the coronavirus pandemic did not allow for the organization of the event in the traditional formula. Registration until has been suspended and at the moment there are 135 runners on the starting list. We are grateful to everyone who has not yet decided to apply for a refund of the entry fee and stay with us!
Introduction of the new regulations of the 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon means that competitors who have previously signed up for the starting list and paid the entry fee and now want to resign from participation in the race (scheduled for April 23) until February 16, 2022 can apply for a refund of the entry fee – by sending an e-mail to the zapisy@zis.krakow.pl. In the subject of the mail by typing "refund of the fee for the Mini Cracovia Marathon" and in the content the name, surname and e-mail address to which the registration was made. If the payment was made by Blik, you must provide additionally: account number and address of residence – this is necessary to refund the fee to a bank account.
After February 16, 2022, resignation from participation in the upcoming edition of the Mini Cracovia Marathon will not be possible, and staying on the starting list means accepting the new regulations.
The possibility of transferring the entry fee to another competitor has been introduced – by 10 April 2022 at the latest. Detailed instructions are described HERE.
If you want to make changes to the application by 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon (address, T-shirt size etc.), please send a message to the address of the zapisy@zis.krakow.pl, in the subject line entering "correction of the application Mini Cracovia Marathon" and in the content all the data to be changed.
Runners who do not apply for a refund of the entry fee will be entered on the new starting list, on which the previously assigned starting numbers will be removed – following the example of the organized in autumn 2021 14. Three Mounds Run and 7. Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, starting numbers will be assigned at the Competition Office during verification.
