19th Cracovia Marathon - registrations resumed!
As we announced, on February 9 we resumed accepting online applications for the 19th Cracovia Marathon which will take place on April 24, 2022. A limit of 5000 competitors has been set. At the time of resuming the registration, there were 3530 people on the start list. Due to the above, there are still 1470 starter packages.
The new start list includes runners who have not applied for a refund of the starting fee. People who applied for it are successively refunded the entry fee. All entry fees will be refunded by the end of February. Please bear with us and be patient while waiting for your entry fee to be refunded.
Due to the dynamic situation in Poland, detailed information on the location, time and starting formula of the 19th Cracovia Marathon will be announced at a later date.
Organized since 2002, the Cracovia Marathon is the most important running event in Krakow and the largest spring run at the royal distance in Poland. Since 2014, the start and finish of the Cracovia Marathon are located on the Main Market Square in Krakow. According to the slogan of the event: "through history", the participants of the marathon run next to many wonderful monuments of Krakow.
Cracovia Marathon attracts runners from all over the world and is the most international among Polish marathons, with the highest of foreign participants in the country. In the Cracovia Marathon runners from 55 countries have competed in previous editions.
Cracovia Marathon is included in the Crown of Polish Marathons and together with the Three Mounds Run and the Cracovia Royal Half Marathon it forms the unique Royal Running Triad.

Team registration
There is a possibility of team registration - provided for groups of at least ten people. Details on the rules for team sign-ups can be found HERE.
Terms of participation
Due to the epidemiological situation in the country, which causes exceptional circumstances requiring the introduction of special measures and solutions, individual provisions of these regulations are/will depend on the currently applicable legal provisions and guidelines indicated on the website www.gov.pl.
There is a limit of the starters – 5 000 runners. The limit may change - in the event of changes in the guidelines and regulations regarding the organization of events in relation to the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19.
Runners of at least 18 years of age as of 24.04.2022 may participate in the 19th Cracovia Marathon.
The race cannot be attended by people who on the day of the event:
a. have symptoms of infection, especially of the upper respiratory tract such as runny nose, cough;
b. have a temperature above 37,5o C;;
c. are in quarantine or isolation.
Route
The course of the marathon is 42,195 km. The route will be certified by PZLA, World Athletics (formerly IAAF) and AIMS. Participants are required to finish the route within 6 hours. A detailed description of the route will be published on the website www.cracoviamaraton.pl at a late.
Each kilometre along the route will be marked from 1 to 42.
Application and entry fee
Applications for participation in the 19th Cracovia Marathon are accepted:
- on the website of the race – until April 14, 2022 or until the day on which the limit of participants will be exhausted. Applications can be made via the application form published HERE;
- at the Competition Office – on 22-23 April 2022, in the event of non-exhaustion of the limit of competitors.
By submitting the application for the race, the competitor declares that he is aware of the risks that may arise in connection with the start and that his health condition allows him to participate in this race.
Verification of competitors, assigning starting numbers and collecting starting numbers and packages will take place at the Competition Office.

The Organizer allows the situation of collecting the starter package on behalf of another person – collection of the starter package by a proxy:
- the package will be issued only to a person who has the QR code of the runner for whom he receives the package. He/she has an identity document with him/her. Her data was provided by the runners in the application form during registration. The athlete has the option of entering the data of the representative until 14.04.2022;
- the proxy may only be persons who are at least 18 years old on the day of receipt of the starter package;
- in the event that the runners for whom the package is received is entitled to discounts, the representative should present these documents upon receipt of the starter package.

Starting fee:
PLN 120 – until 31.03.2022
PLN 15 – 01.04.2022 – 14.04.2022
PLN 170 – 22-23.04.2022 in the Competition Office, in the event of non-exhaustion of the limit of runners.
The payment of the starting fee is possible only via the PayU payment system until April 14, 2022 immediately after registration of participation or at the Competition Office at the rate applicable on the date of payment, if the starting limit is not finished.
Lack of payment upon registration will result in removal from the start list.
The PayU system allows you to pay the entry fee in EURO by converting the entry fee according to the EURO exchange rate on the day of payment.
It is not possible to pay in EURO at the Competition Office.
It is possible to transfer the entry fee to another competitor - by April 10, 2022 at the latest. Detailed instructions are available HERE.

We have also resumed accepting online applications for the 19th Cracovia Marathon for the Disabled Athletes in Wheelchairs. A limit of 100 competitors has been set. At the time of resuming the registration, there were 60 people on the start list. Due to the above, there are still 40 starter packages. The new start list includes runners who have not applied for a refund of the starting fee.
