Promotion of the 18th Cracovia Marathon during the 20th Maratona di Ravenna

For three days, a group of Polish competitors promoted next year‘s 18th Cracovia Marathon in Ravenna, Italy, where on November 11, the 20th anniversary edition of Maratona di Ravenna was held along with accompanying runs.

Over twenty competitors finished their running season advertising the next edition of the Krakow marathon in the Italian town. A trip to Ravenna was possible due to many-year of friendship between the organizers of Cracovia Marathon: the Municipality of Krakow, Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Krakow and representatives of Ravenna Runners Club ASD, who provided our runners with the starting numbers.

Winning the package together with a round-trip coach tour of the Cracovia Marathon Partner – Manifold company was possible through active participation in classes preparing for the 12th PZU Three Mounds’ Run and the 5th PZU Cracovia Royal Half Marathon. For those who could not take part in the trainings, a competition was organized on the Cracovia Marathon profile on Facebook.

In a town full of history and art, the Polish competitors promoted the 18th Cracovia Marathon just two days before the start of the royal distance race. Before Sunday's competition, AZS AWF Krakow coach, Grzegorz Sudoł, conducted a short start-up, during which runners dressed in special T-shirts advertising the next year's edition of the Krakow marathon. They were also enthusiastically welcomed at the Marathon di Ravenna EXPO, where the Italian representatives of sports events and other competitors eagerly asked about running in Poland and Krakow.

On Sunday, 11 November, our competitors stood at the start of the 20th edition of Marathon di Ravenna, half marathon and Good Morning Ravenna run (10.5 km), and then set out on three routes specified by the Organizers. Kenyan, Wilfred Murgor, was the first at the finish line of the 20th edition of Maratona di Ravenna, among 1591 competitors, with a time of 2:12:36, his compatriot, Limo Silah Kipkemboi (2:13:05) was second, and Ethiopian, Tigu Sefe Wende (2:15:14) came in third.
