PZU is once again the Titular Sponsor of the Cracovia Marathon
PZU has become the Titular Sponsor of this year's Cracovia Marathon. The company has decided to support the most important running event in Krakow and the largest spring marathon in Poland for the fifth consecutive time. The 19th PZU Cracovia Marathon is scheduled for the 26th April, 2020.
Organized since 2002, the Cracovia Marathon is one of the most popular running events in Poland. The event attracts runners from around the world, being the most international of the Polish marathons, with the highest attendance of participants from abroad. We hosted runners from 55 countries during the previous editions of the Cracovia Marathon.
Since 2014, the start and finish line of the Cracovia Marathon have been located on the Main Market Square. According to the slogan of the event: "with history in the background", participants of the marathon will run alongside many great monuments of the city under Wawel Hill.
During the last year's 18th PZU Cracovia Marathon, route records were set for both men and women.
The high organizational and sporting standards of the Krakow event were once again confirmed by the World Athletics (formerly the International Association of the Athletics Federation, IAAF). The 19th PZU Cracovia Marathon will already be within the Silver Label Road Race.
On behalf of the Municipality of Krakow, PZU is the Title Sponsor of the event organised by the Sports Infrastructure Management Board in Krakow since 2016 and its 15th edition.
PZU is not only involved in financing the run, but also actively participates in the organisation of the event itself as well as an information and promotion campaign.
The Organizer and Titular Sponsor of the 19th PZU Cracovia Marathon monitor the development of events in connection with the spread of Coronavirus on an ongoing basis, remaining in constant contact with relevant institutions and services.
