The Royal Route of the OSHEE 10 km Night Run
On 18 April, Kraków will once again be light up with sporting energy. 8,000 participants of the OSHEE 10 km Night Run will run through the streets of the city. The start and finish of the event traditionally are scheduled to take place on the Main Market Square. Runners will pass through Kazimierz and Podgórze, and on their way back they will visit the Wawel Royal Castle. Emotions guaranteed!
- Our run is once again attracting huge interest. More than a month before the start, the limit of 8,000 participants has been reached. Runners can look forward to an unique emotions and a route that showcases the beauty of Kraków – emphasises Tomasz Marzec, Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków.
For the seventh time, the start and finish will be located on the Main Market Square. A new feature this year is the relocation of the finish line under the Town Hall Tower. Along the route, participants will encounter many exceptional monuments and historic sacred buildings.
For the second time, participants will visit Wawel Royal Castle – a symbol of Polish and European heritage. This year, they will run up Wawel Hill via the Fortress Road, the Royal Gardens and the Arcade Courtyard, and exit via the Bernardine Gate and the Road to the Castle.
The competition will take place against the unique atmosphere of Kraków by night – a city light up by street lamps, pulsating with the energy of supporters and cheers that will accompany the runners along the route. It is this unique combination of sporting excitement and a magical atmosphere that has made the OSHEE 10 km Night Run a magnet for both participants and spectators for years.
